Q: "What is the difference between CAI and WMCCAI?"
Community Associations Institute (CAI) is an international membership organization with over 50,000 members and 64 chapters worldwide, dedicated to advancing excellence in the governance, management, and quality of life of community associations.
The Washington Metropolitan Chapter of CAI (WMCCAI) is the local CAI chapter for the Washington Metro region. Chapters operate independently, giving members the opportunity to experience CAI’s benefits on a local level—each with its own unique programs and advantages!
Q: "How do I become a member of WMCCAI?"
Great question! You can join WMCCAI by becoming a member of CAI. As you complete your CAI membership application, you will be asked to select the primary chapter you would like your CAI membership to be affiliated with. On this step of the application, simply select 'Washington Metro Chapter' from the dropdown.

Once you have confirmed your selection, you can move forward with the application. CAI National will automatically share your membership with our Washington Metro Chapter once your application has been processed.
Q: "I'm already a member of CAI, but how do I join your chapter (WMCCAI)?"
All CAI memberships automatically include a primary chapter membership, so you may already be a member of WMCCAI! To check which chapter your CAI membership is affiliated with, log into your CAI account on CAI's official website.
If your CAI membership lists a different chapter, you may transfer chapters or add additional chapter affiliations to your membership by contacting CAI's Member Service Center. Learn more about how to join additional CAI chapters!
Q: "I'm a member of WMCCAI. Is there a directory that lets me see who else is a WMCCAI member?"
Yes! WMCCAI members can log into our chapter website and click on the 'Directory' tab in the top ribbon. Select 'Member Directory' from the dropdown.
'Corporate Members' will display Business Partner members, and 'Individual Members' will display Manager members. If you would like to update the information that's listed for you, please log into your WMCCAI Glue Up account and update your information in the settings. The credentials to log into your Glue Up account will be the same ones you use to log into our chapter website. Please note that our WMCCAI Member Directory does not include Homeowner members due to privacy concerns.
Member Tip: To view a complete list of all CAI members (Homeowner, Manager, Business Partner, etc.) regardless of chapter, use the Member Directory on CAI's official website. Search by location to view a complete list of members in your area!
