Just south of Fredericksburg, Virginia lies our community of 795 active adult single family homes built around a centrally located clubhouse, outdoor pool, and recreation area with a picnic pavilion, bocce ball court, putting green, and horseshoe pits. The vehicular approach to Virginia Heritage (VHALP) is accentuated by a multi-level cascading fountain designed within a well-maintained landscape of evergreen and flowering plant material. After turning off Spotsylvania Parkway, you are reminded of Virginia's heritage and history as you pass a brick colonial-style gatehouse and continue through double wrought iron gates. The welcoming charm and feeling of security afforded by the entrance features are only the beginning of what makes VHALP the place where active adults are pleased to call home.
In addition to the recreation area, Owners regularly use the tennis/pickle ball courts, and walking trails. The upper level of our two-story clubhouse contains a large rotunda with seating at a fireplace, a coffee bar, booklined perimeter shelving, a ballroom accommodating 120 persons with a dance floor, two catering kitchens, two meeting rooms, and a spacious game and card room containing two billiard tables, four card tables and storage space for over 200 puzzles, card games, tile games, and poker chips. The lower level of the clubhouse contains the indoor pool (which can be viewed from the game room), a fitness center with state-ofthe-art exercise equipment, a multi-purpose room for yoga and Pilates, and offices for the Management Team. Ballroom events include the spring craft show, dinner theater performances, fall concerts, and New Year's Eve Gala.
Community communication is through our monthly publication, The Virginia Heritage Gazette, our community website, CINC, email notifications and postal mailings to each residence when appropriate or necessary, and by choosing option 7 (Community Announcements) when calling the main phone number. VHALP is currently governed by a five-member Board of Directors recently elected by the Owners at our first Annual Meeting on September 26, 2024. We are currently managed by Cardinal Management Group, LLC and have just renewed their contract for the next three years. This renewal is a testament to the trust and satisfaction our community has for our Management Team.
Supporting our Board are our standing committees who render their best recommendations to ensure VHALP maintains its property values, common interests, and active adult lifestyle. The committees are comprised of retired professionals serving in areas of their expertise. We are a 2.4-million-dollar not-for-profit corporation, and we take our responsibilities seriously. VHALP is fortunate to have retired engineers, architects, landscape architects, land surveyors, master gardeners, attorneys, certified public accountants, insurance adjusters, and hospitality professionals to serve on our Budget, Covenants, Facilities, Infrastructure, Landscape, Lifestyle, and Newsletter committees.
In summary, VHALP is a diverse, yet unified community having the resources, expertise, and determination to make Virginia Heritage at Lee's Parke worthy of the best choice for Community Association of the Year.
