Coronavirus Alert: WMCCAI’s Response to COVID-19

Update 3/23/2020: WMCCAI is closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and we will make decisions about chapter programs as we have appropriate information to do so. As of today, all chapter events and education sessions scheduled through April 30, 2020 have been cancelled. We are working to determine what can be rescheduled at a later date; chapter staff will be in contact with any pre-registered attendees and sponsors as we make those determinations. All other WMCCAI events through August 31, 2020 are being reviewed; registration links will not open for those events until their status is determined. Our chapter website is updated often – please visit for the latest event statuses and resources. If you have any questions, please email WMCCAI’s Executive Director, Jaime Barnhart, CMP, CAE, at or reach out to the chapter staff at

As of March 23, 2020, all three jurisdictions served by WMCCAI are under various orders to close non-essential businesses. We have linked each Governor or Mayor’s Office websites to our resources page (link) for quick access to the latest information in the area you live or work.

Additionally, below are direct links to the orders pertaining to essential and non-essential businesses in each area:

WMCCAI is working on rescheduling events, moving sessions to a virtual format, and looking for ways to stay connected to our members. Visit us on Facebook – let’s connect there for information sharing and some fun too! If you have a great idea, share it with us – email chapter staff at

WMCCAI is monitoring the outbreak of the COVID-19 Coronavirus and its impact on our members. As we make changes to programs, we will post here.

We encourage our members and the community associations industry in general to follow the latest guidance and updates issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

CAI understands that members, homeowners, board members, community association managers, management company executives, and business partners may have questions about prevention, containment, classes, and events. It is important to recognize, however, that CAI, its chapters, and individual members are not health care professionals. The CDC and other qualified health officials should continue to be the primary source of current information and guidance.

Committee & Board Meetings: Effective immediately, all chapter committee meetings will be held via conference call until further notice (or canceled if necessary). The chapter staff liaison will be in touch to provide the conference call number or cancellation information before your committee meeting date. If you want to be added to a committee roster, please email

Programs and Events: All chapter events scheduled for March and April 2020 are postponed. Chapter staff is working with our venues, speakers and sponsors to find new dates in 2020. Once the new dates are determined, we will notify all pre-registered attendees and update the chapter website and social media channels. Attendee registrations will transfer to the re-scheduled date. For questions about chapter events, email NOTE: Thus applies to WMCCAI chapter events only. For PMDP class status or other CAI national events, please visit

Chapter Office Operations: The chapter staff is working in the office in a normal manner. The office is open for members if you need to come for business. Email if you have any questions.
