Mission Statement
Educating, empowering, and connecting stakeholders to strengthen community associations.
Who We Are
Washington Metro Chapter Community Associations Institute, a 501(c)(6) organization, is the largest of CAI’s 62 U.S. and international chapters with more than 3,000 members, seven staff, and a $1.35 million budget. Locally, our members include 1,500 community association leaders and residents, 1,100 community managers, 80 community association management firms, and more than 300 companies who provide products and services to community associations.
What We Do
Everything we do relates back to our mission statement and can be found in four broad areas:
Advocacy
We have three legislative teams in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C., establishing and improving relationships with legislators and government officials and advocating on behalf of community associations.
Education
We strive to provide a world-class curriculum for community association leaders, managers and even businesses serving community associations. We do this by publishing Quorum monthly and by hosting 18 in-person education programs conveniently rotated throughout the chapter.
Member Development
Our volunteers and staff are always trying increase participation in the organization and at our events. This way, we have more experiences for our members to draw from and are able to create deeper connections.
Member Services
From our online service directory and fun networking events, to dozens of marketing opportunities and our annual Conference & Expo, we are always looking for new ways to increase the value of YOUR membership.
