You'll get the most out of your membership if you invest time into helping WMCCAI committees stay active and innovative. Our committees implement the strategic plan for the Chapter. From programs to publications to legislative activity, committee members provide the strength that enables the Chapter to meet the needs of its member communities in the Washington metro area. Join one or more committees depending on your interst and time availability.
Some of the benefits of joining a committee: 1. Meet, network, and establish a rapport with other members in the community association industry. 2. Establish yourself and your company as a leader in the community association industry. 3. Keep abreast of changes, trends, and developments in the community association industry. 4. Recognition among peers for outstanding work and volunteerism. 5. Share knowledge and experiences to create quality programs and services to improve the industry. |

Communications Council
* Community Relations Committee: What was once known as our marketing committee has been restructured and will now focus on furthur developing relationships with allied partners and Chapter charities. This committee is responsible for planning and implementing Chapter charity outreach projects and developing the Community Association of the Year Award program.
* Publications Committee: Responsible for planning and developing content for QuorumTM, the Chapter's monthly, 36-page magazine with a direct circulation of 4,000. This committee develops topics and appropriate content and identifies and recruits appropriate authors and contributors.
Education Council * Conference and Expo: Responsible for the overall development and management of the Conference and Expo including recruiting exhibitors and sponsors and promotion of the event. The committee works in conjuction with the education committee to develop conference seminars.
* Education Committee: Charged with the development, promotion, and presentation of educational programs, including The Essentials of Community Association Volunteer Leadership (formerly ABCs), Manager Education Programs, Effective Communication seminar, the E-Learning Center, and much more. In addition, the education committee coordinates conference seminars with the Conference and Expo committee.
Legislative Council
* Legislative Committees: Responsible for identifying legislative issues of importance to common interest communities in the District, Maryland, and Virginia. This includes local, regional, statewide, and federal legislation. The committees monitor legislation and help the Chapter set specific issue priorities. The Chapter has three legislative committees: DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
Member Services Council * Annual Dinner Committee: Responsible for the overall management and planning of the Annual Awards Dinner, including selection of the location, entertainment, recruiting sponsors, and promotion of the event.
* Golf Committee: Responsible for the overall management, selection of location, recruiting sponsors, and planning of the Annual Golf Outing.
* Special Events Committee: Identifies, coordinates, and promotes networking events for the Chapter. Activities include Jump Start January, Annual Picnic, Holiday Party, Happy Hours, and other networking events. Planning includes location selection, recruiting sponsors, and promotion.
