From programs to publications to legislative activity, committee members provide the strength that enables the Chapter to meet the needs of its member communities in the Washington metro area. Join one or more committees depending on your interest and time availability.

Communications Council
Chapter Outreach Committee: Responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining programs to foster communications among WMCCAI members and between WMCCAI and the general public; to encourage participation in WMCCAI programs and volunteer opportunities; and to promote the value of CAI membership.
Quorum Editorial Committee: Responsible for planning and developing content for Quorum TM, the Chapter's monthly, 36-page magazine with a direct circulation of approximately 3,200. This committee develops topics and appropriate content and identifies and recruits appropriate authors and contributors.
Education Council
Conference & Expo: Responsible for the overall development and management of the Conference & Expo including recruiting exhibitors and sponsors and promotion of the event. The Conference & Expo Committee works in conjunction with the Education Committee to develop Conference seminars.
Education Committee: Responsible for identifying developing and promoting educational offerings based on the needs of CAI's membership paying particular attention to the needs of each area of specialization.
Legislative Council
Legislative Committees: Responsible for identifying local, regional, statewide, and federal legislative issues of importance to common interest communities in the District, Maryland, and Virginia. The committees monitor legislation and help the Chapter set specific issue priorities. The Chapter has three legislative committees: DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
Member Services Council
Annual Dinner Committee: Responsible for the overall management and planning of the Annual Awards Dinner, including event promotion, sponsor recruitment, entertainment, and selection of event location.
Golf Committee: Responsible for the overall management and planning of the Annual Golf Outing, including event promotion, sponsorship recruitment, and selection of event venue.
Special Events Committee: Responsible for coordinating and promoting networking and charity events for the Chapter. Activities include Jump Start January, Annual Picnic, Holiday Party, Happy Hours, Ronald McDonald House Landscape Day, and National Make a Difference Day. Planning includes location selection, sponsor recruitment, and event promotion. |
